When thinking about the contemporary popularity of projection-mapping environments, one immediately wonders about the various Van Gogh exhibitions seemingly appearing everywhere. But is this all? And why should we care about these new forms of expanded cinema? After briefly elucidating the theoretical background on which my thesis rests (post-screens, post-phenomenology, feminist post-humanism), I will present the art collective Entangled Others’ installation Decohering Delineation to illuminate the philosophical potentialities of projection-mapping environments. My overarching argument is that, by opening up an alternative space, this apparatus helps us rethink the subject in ecofeminist terms.
